Matanuska Glacier Is A Place To Behold
Had some rough days but my heart has been doing really well the last few so I ventured up to Matanuska Glacier with Heather, her daughter and a friend today.
Matanuska Glacier is 24 miles long and 4 miles long. It is the largest glacier to which to which you can drive a car. It is located about 100 miles northeast of Anchorage and is a pretty easy drive. There are plenty of things to do on the drive up as well. Click on the link above for a list. Keep something in mind. If you’ve read my soft serve post you might realize that Millers Market and their infamous ice cream shop isn’t too far off the route. Kill two birds with one stone!
I’m not even going to try to tell you about what it is like at the glacier. The pictures speak for themselves. Add this place to your bucket list!

I promise you it is worth the commute. As a matter of fact, swing by on your way to or from the Matanuska Glacier! […]
